So since we have moved in to our new place this week......we have been busy putting together all kinds of pieces of furniture, storage, ect, that come with those stupid and inane instruction manuals. I luckily somehow managed to escape this torture until tonight by pawning the jobs off on Dh and FIL.
Well tonight, my genius plan to avoid all things remotely mechanical failed. Nut was actually entertaining herself in her room and since we had gone to Bed Bath and Beyond and bought 3 pieces....Dh wonderfully suggested that I put one together as he worked on a piece in the bedroom. Dang it.
It was one of those racks that stand over the toilet and has shelves.....It looked easy enough.....All pictures......no word.......well apparently I am not a visual person. I need written instructions AND pictures. I mean I know that some people can't read but showing me a teeny tiny picture of A going into B and the G, H, I, and J all being screws which look EXACTLY the same in the small black and white pictures.....well it was not a pretty sight. Add to the fact that the PMS monster is raring her ugly head....and when dh tried to nicely ask if I needed some help....well you can imagine how well that went over. I think he thought I almost hit him in the head with the screw driver on purpose ( I swear I didn't.....he was just standing awfully close when I turned around) An hour and a half later, the stupid piece was finally put together.....and believe it or not it actually holds towels and didn't fall over! Yea Me!
I just have one suggestion for the makers of those instruction manuals..... If you don't want my husband to wind up with a screw driver up his arse well, then add some words or make your pictures MUCH more detailed.....I'm talking I want to be able to SEE the threads on the screw detailed LOL.
Lets just say I think that will be the last thing Dh will be asking me to put together for awhile ;)

So I started a blog LOL
Yep, I finally broke down and started a blog.....and i totally should be sleeping right now. Basically my life somehow always ends up being comical, I definitely could deal with a little less drama, but hey at least I serve as entertainment to my friends and family ;)
So a little about me for starters in case you don't know.
I am 26, have been married for 4 years this coming December to a wonderful man who I love more then I ever thought possible, but who seems to always serve as my biggest exasperation. Together we have a beautiful, spirited 20 month old daughter for whom this blog is so named. To us she is the Nut. A nickname that was originally shortened from Peanut but some how is extremely fitting LOL.
Life has definitely turned out different then I expected. At least right now most things seem to be finally falling into place. The last 2 or so years have definitely been a struggle in many ways. But right now I feel like I am starting fresh. We just moved to a new city.....a new state.....hell this southern girl is now living in a yankee world! Dh (Tom) just started a new job in September, and while we ave been living with the in laws for the last 2 months (ummm that experience deserves a blog within itself) we finally rented our place in SC out and found a place of our own here. So right now I am unpacking....well attempting to, and counting down the days until we are reunited with out 3 dogs (umm yeah MIL didn't want them to stay with her, so we had to leave them behind....so they had a 2 month vacation with Nana).
Hmmm what else. Well, I am a SAHM with a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy...yep I have a lot of student loans for nothing right now, but I wouldn't change a second of it. Will I ever practice? Who knows, hard to believe but I still don't have a clue what I want to o with my life.
So that's me in a nut shell.....I guess I just hope this will be a place where I can share my thoughts, joys, and frustrations, and if I can make you laugh somewhere along the way then great!
Oh and P.S. I totally suck at spelling.....my worst fault and while I know this thing has spellcheck I can guarantee I will forget to use it at times....so read at your own risk LOL
